Bank Bonus Tax has Failed (January 07, 2010)
The Government has admitted that the bonus tax that they set on banks last month has failed. It was meant to get the banks to strengthen their balance sheets but it has had no real effect.

What a surprise, although the treasury is has received the one off revenue of over £1.5bn.

The Government are going to think more aggressively if they want to earn voters support in the forthcoming general election.
