Sainsbury beats the forecasts (January 07, 2010)
Good news for UK supermarket Sainsbury as today it announced forecast beating sales for the last quarter, with them serving record customer levels with the run up to Christmas. This is also said to have been aided by people looking to avoid the VAT increase, coming soon, on more expensive items.
