FSA announces action to help investors with Lehman-backed structured products (October 27, 2009)
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today announced tough action to help investors who received unsuitable advice when they bought Lehman Brothers backed structured products.
This includes anyone who received bad advice or misleading promotional material when they bought products from Lehman Brothers or one of their three plan managers.
The FSA websites says The FSA found significant advice failings on Lehman-backed products in most of the financial advice firms sampled, as well as serious deficiencies in the marketing literature provided by a number of the plan managers selling these products.
The website continues to ensure all future structured products investors are treated fairly lets hope these steps are enough to protect investors in future.
