Get on the phone (October 29, 2009)

One of the oldest (well since the phone was invented) forms of marketing is telephone marketing. It is one of the quickest ways to get your message across and in front of the decision makers you need to speak to.

If you compare telemarketing to advertising or PR where you can spend thousands trying to get your message in front of decision makers  whereas in telemarketing in a few calls you can speak to and send an email to the decision maker it seems like a bit of a no brainer.

It can also save you money on direct mail shots or walking around business parks knocking on doors. When you speak to companies on the phone you can find out if your service or product is applicable and check decision maker contact details instead of sending out mail shots on the off chance that the contact is still there or the company still exists. Compare the ability to call around 100 companies a day with how many you would get round if you went knocking doors and again it is a no brainer.
