A return to regional Stock Exchanges will it be a boost to local business finance?
With so many companies struggling financially and struggling to find the finances they need to survived some MP’s are pushing the idea of local stock exchanges to boost local business finance.
Local exchanges are not a new idea and in fact back in 1914 the UK had 22 such local institution in places like Bristol, Halifax, Leeds to name just a few.
At the moment this seems like a novel idea but if you take in to account that Wales has no less than 20 companies that currently use the London Stock Exchange it might not be a bad idea.
This, though, does not deal with the issue of banks not giving out the finance that local business needs and the fact that companies quite often need a quick cash injection.
At www.localbusinessfinance.co.uk we put you in contact with the finance providers and advisors you need that can find finance for local small businesses.
